Nine-Patch Polka Quilt Clarification

Please include the following changes in the Nine-Patch Polka chapter of the book Cotton Theory® Quilting 2: Traditional Blocks.

Page 36

Unfinished size of Nine-Patch Blocks will be:
     9½" x 9½" (instead of 11" x 11")

Page 37

Back side Short Sashing D, Long Sashings, and Borders G/H, I, J should read:

25 assorted fat quarters in green, brown, red, blue, and gold

Leftover yardage from sashing stars on front side will

be equivalent to three fat quarters. If you use this on

Reversible Jackets #QY42

Should you make a muslin shell of the jacket prior to constructing the jacket, kindly sew the muslin pieces together with a 1/4" seam. Please do not add connectors at this time.   To overcome the issue with the jacket pieces running a size smaller than what you would expect:   Do not line up raw edges even when attaching the connectors to the jacket pieces. Instead, have the actual jacket piece 3/4" down from the raw edge of the connector. For every piece you add.......you will also gain 3/4". It is also very easy to sew soft curves when the raw edges are not even. There is no need to clip seams when going around a curve. The jacket may even run a little large.   You can always add another connector in the back seam should you need more room for broad shoulders, down the sleeve should you need more upper arm room, etc.   Please apply curb appeal binding to the jacket fronts in the same manner. Sew 1/4" seam allowance of front to a 1" seam allowance of binding.

Cotton Theory reversible Jackets should have had this information in it. I apologize!
