Other quilting and sewing classes
Embroidery Club
A machine embroidered appliqué quilt class at the Quilt Yard will begin in March 2010 and continue on the 3rd Friday of each month at 1:00 pm. You will be using your wonderful embroidery machine to create a quilt consisting of 16 blocks which will teach you how to layer appliqué on your machines and create templates and put them exactly where they belong.
The first 2 blocks will be at the Quilt Yard to view……. each one will be totally different from the others. There will be a quilt on display to view all of the blocks in a unique setting by Betty Cotton.
It will be necessary for you to purchase the Jenny Haskins design collection called Color Purple, the Next Generation… and it will also be very helpful if you own the Pfaff 4D Embroidery Suite to print off the design templates and combine designs for our larger hoops. However if you do not own 4D Suite… we will provide templates for you to purchase each month …
Our first lesson in March will focus on learning how to create the templates and other things to consider when doing these blocks and will cost $30……. for the remaining lessons, the class will decide how many months they would like to continue. The cost will be $15.00 a month for the remaining blocks.
If you are interested in this class the designs will need to be ordered, so please let us know as soon as possible.
